Africa Fashion Week London Partners With The Africa Centre for 2024

Africa Fashion Week London began collaborating with The Africa Centre in 2014, showcasing African fashion in Covent Garden. A decade later, their partnership continues, celebrating African heritage through fashion and culture.
'Between the Two Worlds'

Join us at the centre on Saturday, September 7th, for a film screening and workshop for ages 14-18. Watch "Between the Two Worlds," an animated film on faith and identity, followed by a creative writing and storyboarding session. Fifteen spaces available.
AFRICA UNITE!

This blog congratulates African athletes on their remarkable achievements, highlighting the continent's unity in sports despite limited resources. It criticizes xenophobia within African nations, urging for a Pan-African approach to development. A call for harnessing sports' power for social and economic growth, celebrating African unity, and overcoming colonial divisions.

Our Story

Originally conceived to foster non-governmental relations between newly independent Africa and Britain, The Africa Centre's mission is to educate, connect, and advocate for Africa and its diaspora. Previously located in Covent Garden, London for over five decades, we launched our new HQ in Southwark in June 2022.
