From just £10/ month become a friend of The Africa Centre. Your support will contribute to ensuring that the charity meets its continued mission to educate about, connect to and advocate for Africa and its diaspora. 

We have two schemes to choose from, Friends Scheme and Friends Scheme Plus, details of each are outlined below. 

If you are unemployed or in receipt of benefits then please contact us for details of subsidised membership.

    Originally conceived to foster non-governmental relations between newly independent Africa and Britain, The Africa Centre's mission is to educate, connect, and advocate for Africa and its diaspora. Previously located in Covent Garden, London for over five decades, we launched our new HQ in Southwark in June 2022.

Curated by Vee Belinga, the series explores intersectional experiences across London, Africa, and the diaspora. Chakula fosters joy, healing, and community. It is funded by Propel. Read more
