Partnership options

To celebrate the move to The Africa Centre’s new home, this year the festivities will be relocated from Westminster to Southwark. Nestling in a culturally vibrant community amongst The Tate Modern, The Young/Old Vic and Southbank Centre as its neighbours, The Africa Centre Summer Festival returns to bring the best of African contemporary culture – combining music, art and fashion to our
diverse audience.

The festival will build on the success of previous years celebrations in Covent Garden with double the audience numbers of 2015 expected to attend.

Our mission

The aims and objectives of the festival are and always will be to celebrate art and culture while bringing awareness of the creative talents from Africa and the Diaspora, for people of all ages and different backgrounds. Now in its 4th year, the Festival has a track record of staging some of the most talented established African international performers, crowd-pulling favourites, plus exciting up-and-coming young performers from across the UK.

Our aims of the Festival

  • To engage a large community in a joyous celebration while bringing awareness of the creative talents from Africa and the Diaspora
  • To promote art and culture and provide a platform for all people interested in Africa to network and celebrate a contemporary vision of the continent
