Africa’s Contribution to the Early Christian Church
December 22, 2020 @ 18:15 - 20:00
Optional/Donate
It is that time of the year again when those from the Christian faith celebrate the birth of Jesus and promote the gospel. However, despite Christianity being dominant in most majority black countries, it is still generally perceived as a product of the west, a foreign Anglo-dominated religion that struggles to address complex issues that affect black and brown people, particularly those on the continent.
However, what many do not realise is that Christianity has existed in Africa so long that it can almost be considered an indigenous religion, especially in North Africa. So what is the true story of Africa and its contribution to the development of the early Christian church?
The Africa Centre in partnership with @atcp_co brings you another free online lecture delivered by renowned historian Robin Walker aka The Black History Man. The class will answer key questions about Africa and the church and guide through thousands of years of Black history and its connection with the foundation and development of early Christianity.
